1928

Dominion Seed House founded by William Bradley on his family farm located on the edge of Georgetown

1936 Dominion Seed House mail order catalogue offers 1,000 varieties of seeds and bulbs
1938 Distinctive mock-tudor office building completed, located on Highway 7
1947 Business booms as returning vets acquire homes and build vegetable gardens
1950-
1980
Mock-tudor buildings become a Georgetown landmark while catalogue business continues to grow
1981 First full colour brochure distributed to 200,000 homes across Canada
1983 Business of the Year Award, employing 130 staff
1993 Dominion Seed House sold to Perron of Montreal with property offered for development
1996 Thousands rally to save heritage plants during "Dig Your Own Plant Sale". $40,000 raised.
1997 Development Master Plan ammended to include a 1.8 acre civic garden to be built and maintained by community volunteers
2000 The Friends of the Old Seed House Garden is established
2001 Ground breaking ceremony launches first construction phase
